Wednesday, April 1, 2026-A suspected Scottish crime boss wanted in both the UK and Spain has been arrested in Bali after being flagged by international authorities.
Steven Lyons, 45, was detained by immigration officers at Ngurah Rai International Airport shortly after arriving from Singapore, following an Interpol red notice issued at Spain’s request.
Authorities describe Lyons as a senior figure in a large transnational criminal organisation involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. He is also wanted in connection with a murder case in Spain dating back to 2024, and had reportedly been on the run for months before his arrest.
Investigators believe Lyons leads the “Lyons Clan,” a Scotland-based crime group engaged in international operations and a long-running violent feud with a rival gang. Officials say his arrest is part of a coordinated investigation involving law enforcement agencies in Spain and Scotland targeting organised crime networks operating across multiple countries.
Indonesian authorities have confirmed that he is expected to be deported to Spain, where he will face charges related to organised crime, drug trafficking, money laundering, and alleged involvement in murder.
