Sunday, April 26, 2026- The number of people injured in Russia’s latest attacks on Dnipro continues to climb following a wave of drone and missile strikes that hit residential and civilian infrastructure.
Ukrainian officials report that casualties have risen significantly, with more than 40 people wounded, including children, as emergency crews continue rescue operations through damaged buildings and debris.
The strikes, described as part of one of the most intense recent assaults, caused widespread destruction across the city, including direct hits on apartment blocks. Authorities say the attacks unfolded over several hours, overwhelming air defenses and leaving multiple casualties trapped under rubble.
Death toll estimates vary across reports, but at least several people have been confirmed killed alongside dozens injured.
As rescue efforts continue, officials warn the numbers could rise further, with some victims still unaccounted for. Ukrainian leaders have condemned the attacks as deliberate strikes on civilians, renewing calls for stronger international support.
The escalation highlights the ongoing intensity of the conflict, with urban centers like Dnipro increasingly exposed to sustained aerial bombardment.
