US hockey player BRADY TKACHUK slams White House TikTok as 'clearly fake' after anti-Canada slur

Monday, March 2, 2026-U.S. hockey star Brady Tkachuk publicly criticized a TikTok video allegedly posted by the White House after it appeared to include a derogatory slur about Canada, calling the clip “clearly fake” and urging followers not to take it seriously.

Tkachuk’s comments came as the video circulated widely online, prompting confusion and backlash among fans of both U.S. and Canadian hockey. The clip purported to show an official White House TikTok account in a humorous context, but raised concerns because of the offensive language attributed to it.

Tkachuk, who has personal and professional ties to Canada — having played significant portions of his career against Canadian teams and forming friendships with Canadian players — pushed back forcefully on social media that the video did not reflect his views or those of the hockey community.

He reiterated that he respects Canada and its contributions to the sport, and emphasized that authentic White House social posts would not include such language. His response helped slow the spread of the misleading clip and refocused the conversation on verifying sources before sharing content online.

The incident highlights ongoing challenges around misinformation on social platforms, especially when public figures or institutional accounts are mistakenly implicated. Officials at the White House did not immediately confirm that the video was posted on an official account, and independent fact-checking continues.

For fans and followers, the episode has been a reminder to exercise caution and skepticism in an era where fabricated content can spread rapidly and spark diplomatic or cultural tensions that aren’t rooted in reality.
