Joint statement on Iran’s missile and drone attacks in the region

Tuesday, March 2, 2026-The United States, along with Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, issued a joint statement strongly condemning Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks across the Middle East.

The governments described the strikes as indiscriminate, reckless, and unjustified, saying they targeted sovereign territories, endangered civilians, and caused damage to civilian infrastructure in multiple countries including Bahrain, Iraq (including the Kurdistan Region), Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

In the statement, the coalition called Iran’s actions a “dangerous escalation” that violates the sovereignty of affected states and threatens regional stability. The signatories emphasized their right to self-defense under international law and declared their intention to stand united in protecting their citizens, territories, and autonomy.

The joint declaration also commended coordinated air and missile defense efforts that helped reduce casualties and destruction during the attacks, and reiterated a collective commitment to regional security and cooperation amid ongoing tensions.
