Mother and stepfather arrested for alleged child abuse amid search for missing Oklahoma boy

Sunday, January 11, 2026- Law enforcement in Chickasha, Oklahoma, has arrested the mother and stepfather of a missing 12-year-old boy on multiple child abuse and child sexual abuse complaints as the urgent search for the child continues.

Ryan “RJ” Davis was last seen on January 2, and authorities have labeled his disappearance “suspicious,” prompting an endangered missing advisory and a full-scale investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). The boy is believed to be alive, and officers are following multiple leads in rural parts of Caddo and Grady counties.

The child’s mother, Kimberly Cole, and stepfather, George Cole, were taken into custody late Wednesday and booked in the Caddo County Jail on complaints that arose after interviews and executed search warrants.

Officials said evidence suggested “apparent harm” to the child while he lived in their home, and investigators described the environment as unsafe. Authorities have not released full details of the alleged abuse but emphasized that finding the missing boy remains the top priority.

As the search enters its second week, law enforcement continues to deploy drones, canines, and cooperation from multiple agencies to locate Ryan. A reward has been offered for information confirming his location, and residents are being urged to check surveillance and trail cameras for potential clues. Police leadership has stressed that if found alive, Ryan will not be returned to his parents’ custody, highlighting the urgent and serious nature of the case.
