Wednesday, January 14, 2026 - An inmate escaped from Zimbabwe's Rotten Row Magistrates Court in shocking fashion after reportedly st@bbing a prison officer before fleeing the premises disguised in a prison officer’s uniform.
According to DailyNews, the inmate allegedly undressed the
prison officer, handcuffed him, and put on his uniform before making his
escape, a sequence witnesses described as “straight out of a movie.”
The incident threw the court into an immediate lockdown,
halting proceedings as security personnel scrambled to regain control while
staff and court-goers watched in disbelief.
Reports said authorities launched a manhunt shortly after
the escape, searching surrounding areas and monitoring possible routes while
