Despite rain, 137th Rose Parade makes its way down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena



Friday, January 2, 2026- Rain didn’t dampen the spirit of Pasadena as the 137th Rose Parade proceeded down Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s Day, drawing cheering crowds bundled in raincoats and umbrellas. 

Festive floats adorned with vibrant flowers rolled through the iconic route, with marching bands and equestrian units keeping the energy high despite intermittent showers. Spectators embraced the weather, capturing moments on phones and celebrating the parade’s return to its full scale after years of pandemic-era adjustments.

Organizers had prepared for wet conditions, and the show went on with minimal disruptions, showcasing the dedication of participants and the resilience of the tradition. Bands from across the country delivered spirited performances, and community groups added color and rhythm to the parade’s more than two-hour procession.
