Thursday, January 15, 2026 - Chinese fashion influencer Zhang Chun, widely known online as Ni De Du Kou, has died suddenly at the age of 29.
Her death was confirmed by her mother after her funeral on
Monday. According to her family, Zhang passed away unexpectedly after suffering
complications linked to an existing heart condition, Daily Mail reported.
Her mother explained that Zhang had a long-standing habit of
staying up late, adding that her lifestyle may have worsened her health
challenges. She reportedly fell ill in the early hours of January 1 and was
rushed to hospital, where doctors were unable to save her.
Zhang rose to fame in 2018 after sharing photos of herself
styling sneakers with coordinated outfits, earning her the nickname “Sneaker
Goddess.” Her clean, youthful image quickly set her apart in China’s
fashion and streetwear scene, helping her build an online following of over one
million.
She later expanded into entertainment, performing at several
hip-hop events and collaborating within the urban fashion space.
However, her career faced serious setbacks after her
self-founded fashion brand collapsed, leaving her in significant debt. Reports
indicate that she struggled emotionally during this period.
In 2024, Zhang faced intense public backlash after joining
an adult content platform in an attempt to manage her financial difficulties.
The decision reportedly led to a loss of followers and sustained online
harassment.
Zhang was cremated in Shanghai on Monday.
Following the news of her passing, tributes from fans and
fellow creatives have continued to pour in across social media, with many
remembering her influence on youth fashion culture and sneaker styling.
