Ukraine hits Russian oil terminal, jets and ships in wave of strikes

Tuesday, December 23, 2025 -Ukraine has launched a new wave of coordinated strikes targeting a Russian oil terminal, military aircraft, and naval assets, signaling a sharp escalation in its long-range attack capabilities. 

Ukrainian officials say the strikes were aimed at disrupting Russia’s fuel supply and degrading its ability to sustain military operations, as explosions and fires were reported at key facilities.

The attacks reportedly involved drones and precision weapons, hitting strategic infrastructure and military targets deep beyond the front lines. 

Russian authorities acknowledged damage at several locations while activating air defenses and emergency response units. The strikes have heightened tensions as both sides intensify efforts to gain battlefield and economic advantage.

Military analysts say the latest assault underscores Ukraine’s focus on weakening Russia’s logistics and energy network rather than direct ground engagement. 

As both nations brace for further retaliation, the conflict appears to be entering a more volatile phase, with critical infrastructure increasingly becoming a primary target in the widening war.
