TRUMP says WITKOFF and KUSHNER had “a very good” meeting with PUTIN

Thursday, December 4, 2025 -Donald J. Trump said on Wednesday that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — his envoy and son‑in‑law respectively — had “a very good” meeting with Vladimir Putin during their talks in Moscow. 

The meeting, held at the Kremlin, lasted roughly five hours as the delegation presented a revised peace plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. Trump emphasized that the U.S. negotiators came away with the impression that Putin “would like to end the war.”

Despite Trump’s optimism, Russian officials—including a top aide to Putin—made clear that no compromise had been reached on the core issues, particularly territorial demands and Russia’s insistence on security guarantees. While some of the U.S. proposals were deemed potentially acceptable by Moscow, others were rejected, and the sides remain far from agreement.
