Singer SABRINA CARPENTER condemns “evil and disgusting” use of her music video in ICE arrests

Wednesday, December 3, 2025 - Singer Sabrina Carpenter has slammed the White House after her hit song “Juno” was used in a social media video promoting immigration arrests, prompting a sharp rebuke from a presidential spokesperson.

Carpenter reacted on Tuesday, December 2, after the White House posted a montage of Department of Homeland Security arrests set to the lyric “Have you ever tried this one?” from her chart-topping track. The singer condemned the video as “evil and disgusting”, adding: “Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

In a statement to TMZ, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson fired back, saying: “Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”

The clip sparked immediate backlash online, coming just days after fellow pop star Olivia Rodrigo criticised the administration for using her music in a separate deportation-related post, which she called “racist, hateful propaganda”.

The White House has not removed the video and continues to defend its use, saying it highlights efforts to target violent offenders.
