Judge says GHISLAINE MAXWELL grand jury records can be unsealed, citing new EPSTEIN law
Wednesday, December 10, 2025 -A federal judge has granted the request to unseal a “voluminous” set of grand jury transcripts and evidence from the sex-trafficking case against Ghislaine Maxwell, a long-time associate of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The ruling comes days after Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which requires the government to make public many formerly sealed documents related to Epstein and Maxwell’s cases.
Under the Act, the judge ordered the release of materials including grand jury testimony, search warrants, financial records, victim-interview notes, and other investigative documents — with redactions to protect the identities of victims. The Justice Department must comply with the law’s requirements and make the files searchable and publicly available by December 19, 2025.
While the decision marks a major step toward transparency in one of the most notorious criminal cases in recent history, the judge cautioned — and many legal observers agree — that the documents are unlikely to reveal fresh bombshells.
The content primarily consists of material already available at trial and may not significantly expand public understanding of victims, additional co-conspirators, or unknown aspects of Epstein’s network.
