Immigration agents target family of deported college student

Federal immigration agents reportedly appeared at the Texas home of a family whose 19‑year-old daughter — a college student — was deported recently, according to her attorney.

The agents arrived in unmarked cars, and one, wearing an “ERO” vest, chased the student’s father as he washed his car. The father fled into his backyard and locked the gate; agents stayed for about two hours, seemingly trying to force entry, before leaving without ever knocking or presenting a warrant.

The student, a freshman at a U.S. college, had been detained while trying to fly home for Thanksgiving and deported within two days — even though a federal judge had reportedly ordered a temporary hold on her removal.

Her family say they were never informed of any active deportation order, and lawyers claim there is no record of a valid removal order for her.

Advocates and the student’s attorney are calling the agents’ actions “targeting” and a clear violation of the family’s rights, especially given the absence of any warrant or formal notification.

With her deportation already drawing widespread condemnation, these alleged follow‑up actions against her family have intensified concerns over enforcement overreach and due process under current immigration policies.
