Rep. LAUREN BOEBERT helps force House vote on release of EPSTEIN files

Thursday, November 13, 2025 -Rep. Lauren Boebert has become a key player in forcing the release of once‑sealed investigation documents tied to convicted sex‑offender Jeffrey Epstein.

She is one of only four Republicans who signed a bipartisan discharge petition — alongside Reps. Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna — that reached the crucial 218 signatures needed to compel the House to vote on compelling the Department of Justice to publish all relevant files. The move overrides traditional leadership control and marks a sharp turn in the push for transparency.

This action comes amid mounting pressure on the White House and GOP leadership. The petition’s success followed a high‑level meeting in which Boebert met with White House and Justice Department officials — reportedly in the Situation Room — where she reaffirmed her commitment to transparency.

At the same time, President Donald Trump publicly criticized the effort as diversionary, branding it an “Epstein hoax,” yet Boebert stood firm and kept her name on the petition despite the pressure.

Now that the threshold has been met, the House is scheduled to vote on the measure next week. While passage in the House would represent a major win for disclosures, the real test lies in the Senate and whether the documents will survive leadership resistance and executive push‑back.

With the spotlight hot on Congressional accountability, the coming days could determine whether the full scope of Epstein‑era investigations is finally exposed.
