Illegal Israeli settlers demolish Palestinian homes, livestock shelters in West Bank

Friday, November 7, 2025 -Palestinian activists documented illegal settlers uprooting olive trees in Susiya, a region in the southern Hebron Hills area of Masafer Yatta. Video footage captured a group of illegal settlers breaking the trees in the vicinity.

Authorities have reported that over 1,068 Palestinians have lost their lives in the occupied West Bank, with 10,000 individuals sustaining injuries and more than 20,000 being apprehended, including 1,600 children, since the Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip commenced two years ago.

In a landmark judgment delivered last July, the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory is unlawful and mandated the evacuation of all settlements situated in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

On Friday, Israeli settlers engaged in a destructive act in Khirbet Humsa, a Palestinian village located in the northern Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank. According to a local activist, Mutaaz Bisharat, the official responsible for settlement affairs in the Tubas and northern valley region, approximately several Palestinian homes and livestock shelters were demolished by Israeli forces.

The attackers employed bulldozers to demolish the dwellings and animal pens belonging to Yasser Mahmoud Abu Kabash and his son. Bisharat’s statement further indicated that Israeli forces had previously demolished the same structures approximately two years prior, prior to their subsequent reconstruction.

However, the specific number of units that were destroyed during this latest incident was not disclosed. Bisharat expressed his condemnation of the escalating settler attacks, asserting that they constitute an ongoing effort to displace Palestinian residents from the Jordan Valley and acquire a substantial amount of land.

In a separate incident, several Palestinians sustained injuries on Friday when Israeli forces responded to a peaceful protest in Tulkarm, a northern West Bank village. The protest was held to express opposition to the establishment of an unauthorized settler outpost situated east of the city.

Witnesses reported that Israeli soldiers discharged live bullets and employed tear gas to disperse the protesters who were gathered on land between the villages of Beit Lid and Kafr Qaddum. Subsequently, the soldiers pursued activists and supporters through nearby agricultural fields after the participants performed Friday prayers near the location of the outpost.

Medical sources reported that at least two individuals were wounded by rubber-coated bullets, while dozens of others suffered from tear gas inhalation and received on-site medical attention.
