Wednesday, November 19, 2025 - French rapper Zola has been taken into custody after a 19-year-old fan accused him and several associates of a violent kidnapping that allegedly began when the young man tried to take a photo outside the artist’s home.
According to French media reports, the fan went to Zola’s
residence in Le Pin, Seine-et-Marne, hoping to meet him. Instead, he was
reportedly confronted by a group of masked men armed with weapons. When the
teen attempted to run, he was chased down, captured and forcibly taken back to
the property.
Inside the house, the situation allegedly escalated. The
victim says he was ordered to undress and watched as his clothes were burned.
He also claims he was assaulted repeatedly, had a gun forced into his mouth and
was later taken to a basement where gunfire was discharged near him. His mobile
phone and bank card were allegedly taken during the ordeal.
The group is also accused of dragging him back to his vandalized
car, which had its tyres slashed and mirrors smashed, while
threatening him and instructing him not to report the incident.
Police in Meaux arrested Zola, 26, along with three others,
on suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault with a weapon. The teenager
is said to have fled to nearby relatives immediately afterward.
Authorities have opened a full investigation into the
allegations.
