Campbell’s pushes back: “No, we don’t use 3D‑printed meat”
Thursday, November 27, 2025 -Campbell’s has launched a rapid response after a leaked recording allegedly captured one of its executives claiming that the company’s soups contain “3D‑printed” or “bioengineered” chicken.
The comments triggered public outrage and are now at the center of a lawsuit accusing the executive of racist, disparaging remarks toward both the brand and certain employees.
In an official statement, Campbell’s bluntly rejected the claims, calling them “inaccurate” and “absurd.” The company affirmed that all its soups are made with real chicken sourced from USDA‑approved U.S. suppliers.
According to its “Chicken Facts” page, Campbell’s does not use any 3‑D‑printed, lab-grown, or bioengineered meat. They also stressed that the chicken used is “No Antibiotics Ever,” underlining their commitment to quality and food safety.
Campbell’s also said that the employee who made the remarks — allegedly a high‑ranking executive — had no involvement with actual food production. He has since been removed from his position. By distancing itself swiftly and transparently, the company aims to assuage consumer fears and protect its long‑standing reputation for simple, trusted food production.
