Apple TV has “no ad tier at this time,” says EDDY CUE

Tuesday, November 11, 2025 -Apple TV+ is not planning to introduce an ad-supported tier in the near future, according to Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior executive overseeing services.

Despite the trend among streaming platforms toward cheaper, ad-supported options, Apple remains committed to its ad-free subscription model. Cue emphasized that the focus is on delivering high-quality content and a seamless viewing experience without interruptions.

This approach keeps Apple TV+ distinct from competitors like Hulu and Paramount+, which rely heavily on advertising revenue. By maintaining an ad-free environment, Apple aims to attract viewers who are frustrated by frequent commercial breaks and want premium streaming experiences. Analysts suggest this strategy could continue to appeal to a loyal audience willing to pay for uninterrupted content.

While the company is exploring other ways to expand its streaming services, including more original content and international reach, Cue’s statement confirms that ads won’t be part of the plan for now. For subscribers, this means the platform remains a reliable, commercial-free option in an increasingly crowded streaming market.
