Monday, October 20, 2025 - Brandy and Monica’s The Boy Is Mine Tour faced an unexpected disruption on Saturday night when Brandy suddenly walked off stage mid-performance, leaving Monica to finish the concert alone.
The R&B stars were performing at Chicago’s United Center
when Brandy appeared visibly frustrated by sound problems and stopped singing
halfway through a song. “Give me one second y’all, I gotta get my ...” she told
the audience before walking backstage.
Brandy never returned, and after several minutes of
uncertainty, Monica continued performing solo and brought the show to a
close, notably without their iconic 1998 duet, The Boy Is Mine.
Fans quickly took to social media, sharing videos and
speculating about the cause of Brandy’s abrupt exit. The incident comes just
months after the singers announced their long-awaited reunion tour, more than
two decades after their chart-topping hit and years after their much-publicized
feud.
Neither Brandy nor Monica has commented publicly on the
incident. Representatives for both artists have been contacted, but no official
statement has been released.
