Patrons at New Hampshire shooting prevented worse tragedy

Tuesday, September 23, 2025 -A wedding celebration at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, turned deadly when a former employee opened fire, killing 59-year-old Robert Steven DeCesare Jr. and wounding two others.

Authorities said guests acted quickly, with one striking the shooter with a chair, preventing what could have been a far larger tragedy. Their actions stopped the attack within seconds.

The suspect, 23-year-old Hunter Nadeau, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. While he reportedly shouted political slogans during the attack, investigators said there is no evidence the shooting was motivated by hate.
