Monday, September 22, 2025 - Nina Dobrev and Zac Efron have sparked speculation after being photographed looking close and comfortable together during a yacht vacation off the coast of Sardinia.
The pair were spotted this past Wednesday alongside friends,
including Miles and Keleigh Teller and “Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford, but
all eyes were on Dobrev and Efron as they laughed and leaned in during
conversations on deck. At one point, the “High School Musical” actor was seen
smiling warmly while the “Vampire Diaries” star scrolled through her phone.
Dobrev, 36, wore a floral sundress with her hair styled in loose waves, while Efron, 37, kept things casual in a button-down shirt, khaki pants, and a backward cap. The two were seen laughing together, occasionally turning away before resuming their playful exchanges.
Their getaway comes just days after news broke that Dobrev had ended her relationship with Olympic snowboarder Shaun White. The couple had been together for five years and engaged for nearly one before parting ways earlier this month. According to People, the split was “mutual,” though the Daily Mail reported that White was eager to start a family while Dobrev preferred to keep her focus on her career.
While neither Efron nor Dobrev’s representatives have
commented on their current relationship status, their holiday interactions have
caught attention. Dobrev appeared in good spirits, sunbathing on the yacht,
posing for social media photos with Keleigh Teller, and later joining the group
for a night out.
One group shot shared on Instagram showed the celebrities
gathered together on deck, while other paparazzi photos captured more intimate
moments between Dobrev and Efron. TMZ later published an image of the actress
appearing emotional as she embraced a friend, though she was also seen laughing
and relaxing with Efron throughout the trip
Efron, who recently debuted a bleached-blond hairstyle, was
also photographed rinsing off under an outdoor shower while Dobrev walked
nearby.
The sighting has fueled speculation of a possible romantic spark between the two actors, who have known each other for years but have not previously been linked as a couple.
