Friday, September 5, 2025 - Julie Rizzitello, a 37-year-old former high school teacher from Wall Township, New Jersey, United States of America, has pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree s3xual assault against teenage students. The plea agreement announced by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago includes an expected 10-year prison sentence.
Court documents reveal that Rizzitello engaged in s3xual
relationships with two students, with the most recent incidents occurring
between April and June 2024 in her vehicle across multiple New Jersey
townships. The investigation began after school officials received an anonymous
tip regarding her relationship with an 18-year-old student.
Evidence collected from the victim's phone included nud3
photographs and extensive communications confirming the inappropriate
relationship. Following her arrest in July 2024, authorities discovered a
previous relationship with another student that occurred between 2017 and 2018
when the victim was 17 years old.
Rizzitello, who resigned from her teaching position just
before her arrest, had been employed by Wall Township Public Schools since
2013. Under the plea agreement, she will be required to register as a s3x
offender, will face lifetime parole supervision, and may be permanently barred
from holding public office.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 9, 2026. Wall Township
Police Chief Sean O'Halloran characterized the case as a "betrayal of
trust" and commended the victims for their courage in coming forward.
