Friday, August 15, 2025 - Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is set to join French
D’Arkema giants Paris Saint-Germain, marking a major career move for the
24-year-old winger.
Ajibade, who left Spanish Liga F side Atlético Madrid in June
after the expiration of her contract, has been a key figure in Nigerian
football, known for her explosive pace, creativity, and leadership on the
field. Her move to PSG will make her the second Nigerian in the squad,
alongside midfielder Jennifer Echegini, who has already established herself as
an integral part of the French champions.
Although MLS clubs had also shown strong interest in signing
her, PSG have won the race for her signature, further strengthening their
attacking options ahead of the new season.
Ajibade recently captained the Super Falcons to their
record-extending 10th Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco, where she was
named Best Player of the tournament—a testament to her outstanding form and
influence.
