Sunday, August 24, 2025 - Four men have been arrested after a teenage girl was allegedly attacked in Fishponds Park, Surbiton, south west London.
Police were called to the park just after 7.15am on
Thursday, August 21, with a crime scene quickly established and forensic teams
carrying out investigations throughout the day.
The victim, whose exact age has not been released, is
receiving specialist support from officers.
According to the Metropolitan Police, a 24-year-old man was
arrested on suspicion of s3xual assault and administering a substance with
intent to commit a s3xual offence. A 36-year-old man and a 35-year-old man were
both arrested on suspicion of r@pe, s3xual assault and administering a
substance with intent. A fourth suspect, aged 41, was also arrested on
suspicion of r@pe. All four remain in custody.
Residents reported seeing a significant police presence at
the park from the early hours, with entrances cordoned off to the public.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “We understand this
news is concerning for the community and we will be increasing patrols in the
area. If you have any information, please contact 101 quoting CAD 1207/21AUG.”
