Bodaboda rider drugged, attacked and his motorbike stolen after ferrying a customer from Eastleigh in the middle of the night as insecurity escalates in the city (PHOTOs)

Monday, May 26, 2025 - A boda boda rider is nursing injuries after being drugged and assaulted in the early hours of Monday morning, shortly after ferrying a passenger from Eastleigh.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 2:00 AM when the victim was approached by an unknown man posing as a customer along 18^th Street in Eastleigh.

The rider agreed to transport the man, unaware of his sinister intentions.

Upon reaching the vicinity of Starehe Boys Centre, it is suspected that the rider was drugged and subsequently attacked.

The assailant then fled the scene with the rider’s motorbike.

The victim was later found and rushed to a nearby medical facility, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

The incident comes amid rising insecurity in Nairobi and its environs.
