Friday, May 12, 2023 – Azimio One Kenya Alliance Party leader, Raila Odinga, received a heroic welcome in Murang’a County when he landed there on Friday.
Raila, who was accompanied by a few Azimio MPs, was in town to attend the burial of former Murang’a County Governor Mwangi Wa Iria’s mother-in-law.
When Baba landed in Murang’a town, Baba chants filled the air as local residents burst into songs in praise of Jakom.
During the burial, Mwangi Wa Iria vowed to support Raila’s mission of fighting for the rights of the common citizens.
The former Governor also said he supports Raila Odinga’s mass action to pressure the Ruto government to address the high cost of living.
Raila’s warm reception in Murang’a is an indicator that residents are tired of President William Ruto’s regime which is obsessed with overtaxing Kenyans.
