ODM MP asks UHURU to keep off AZIMIO rallies – Let him go to Central Kenya with his remnants and betrayers!!

Thursday, February 16, 2023 – An outspoken Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Member of Parliament has asked former President Uhuru Kenyatta to keep off Azimio One Kenya Alliance rallies.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi said Azimio leaders are not convinced about what value the head of state is adding to ODM leader Raila Odinga’s rallies.

The lawmaker observed that, if anything, Uhuru was eroding the gains Raila had made over his illustrious political career.

“As the followers of Baba, we are not convinced that Uhuru is going to add any value. In fact, if anything, he is going to reduce the gains that Baba has made all these years because the presence of Uhuru in our rallies is continuously destroying our image of opposition.

“Because people may think that he is the one sponsoring the rallies. Baba’s rallies are never sponsored, but his image shows that they are being sponsored.

“Baba is a person who wakes up in the morning, and their addresses are a multitude of rallies,” Amisi said.

The MP further stated that the Kenyan electorate is never kind to anyone considered to be sponsored, adding that Kenyans were also questioning his involvement in Azimio.

“Kenyans don’t like people who are sponsored, okay? So in my view, it does not have Baba in terms of getting his image because then Kenyans will say are we supporting Baba or we are still behind Uhuru who has served for 10 years and gone,” the MP said.
