Thursday, February 24, 2022 – Bahati Member of Parliament, Kimani Ngunjiri, has attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta for endorsing former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in August.
During a well-attended meeting at Sagana State Lodge on Wednesday, the Head of State rallied the Mt Kenya electorate to support Raila Odinga, saying he is the best-placed candidate to succeed him in August.
Reacting to the endorsement, Kimani who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, said the president was not sober when he endorsed ‘the old man.’
The legislator, who was having an interview with one of the local TV stations, said Uhuru was drunk and that is why he was abusing DP Ruto.
“I listened to the president and I don’t think he was sober. He must have used some alcoholic drink.
“How do you use vulgar Kikuyu language to incite a community against one person? Clearly, the president was just accusing Ruto with all manner of evils.
“This is very dangerous to peace in the valley. Uhuru should not make his personal enemies to be community enemies,” Kimani Ngunjiri stated.
