This is what KALONZO MUSYOKA has said after he was accused of demanding Sh 3 billion from UHURU and RAILA to join AZIMIO.

Monday, February 14, 2022 – Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has responded to claims that he is demanding Sh 3 billion from former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for him to join Azimio La Umoja Movement.

On Saturday, Azimio allied Governors from Ukambani led by Alfred Mutua(Machakos), Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Prof. Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) accused Kalonzo of demanding Sh 3 billion for him to join the Azimio outfit.

“We are ready to work with anybody willing to transform the lives of our people but there are some people who have decided to sit on the fence and we know they are bargaining for money.

“We know they have demanded Sh 3 billion to sell our Kamba community for their interests,” Mutua said in reference to Kalonzo.

But in a response, Kalonzo’s closest ally and Makueni Constituency Member of Parliament, Dan Maanzo, dismissed claims that Kalonzo had demanded money from Raila.

“There is nothing like that, he is not that kind of a person who asks for money.

“We want Raila to come personally and tell our people why he can’t support him,” Maanzo said

The lawmaker also dismissed the three governors as self-seekers who don’t have any support on the ground.
