Friday, February 25, 2022 – Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga now faces a herculean task to ‘climb’ Mt Kenya region after a vocal and outspoken Senator dumped the Jubilee Party on Friday and joined Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Speaking while being welcomed to UDA by DP Ruto at his Karen office, Nyandarua Senator Mwangi Githiomi, said after soul searching and listening to the ground, he has decided to join DP Ruto’s hustler bandwagon because it is the movement that will form the next government in August.
Ruto, on his part, said the move by Githiomi to join UDA shows that the house is becoming bigger and bigger as the August 9th Presidential election nears.
“Growing bigger and better. Welcoming Nyandarua Senator Hon. Mwangi Githiomi to the Hustler Nation,” Ruto wrote on his Twitter page.
