Friday, February 25, 2022 – Former Gatanga Member of Parliament, Peter Kenneth, has revealed the number of votes former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will get from Mt Kenya after President Uhuru Kenyatta endorsed his Presidential bid.
Uhuru, who spoke at Sagana State Lodge, said after soul searching and looking for the future of the Mt Kenya residents, he decided to back Raila Odinga, describing him as a democrat, a patriot, and somebody who holds the interests of Kenyans at heart.
While reacting to Uhuru’s endorsement of Raila Odinga, Kenneth said the backing will earn Azimio La Umoja 50 percent of votes from the Mt Kenya region.
“Some of us have been with Raila for three years and in the last election, he got less than 3 percent votes from the region.
“But I have no doubts that he will now get 50 percent of Mt Kenya votes,” Kenneth said.
Kenneth spoke in Kangema Constituency on Thursday during the burial of former Kangema MP Tirus Ngahu who passed away after suffering from stomach cancer.
