Thursday, February 24, 2022 – Self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general, Miguna Miguna, has reacted to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s speech at Sagana State Lodge on Wednesday, where he endorsed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in August.
In a TV interview on Wednesday, Miguna said Uhuru endorsing Raila Odinga will do more harm than good to his State House bid.
Miguna pointed out that President Kenyatta’s ten-year term has been characterized by the extremely high cost of living, reducing a majority of Kenyans to paupers and this has made most Kenyans hate him, especially the Mt Kenya electorate.
“The path is muddy and not very clear at all, if anything, Uhuru has made it completely impossible for Raila to become president of Kenya.
“An endorsement from the most unpopular president since independence is not a good thing for anyone running for President,” Miguna, who also declared that he will vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in August, said.
