Thursday, February 17, 2022 – NARC Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua has exuded confidence that ODM Leader Raila Odinga is the next president of Kenya.
Speaking during an interview, Karua warned Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brothers – Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula – against underrating Raila’s capability in the August 9th presidential race, saying they will be in for a rude shock.
She noted that it was wrong to label the former prime minister a project, yet historically, he has established himself without state support.
“The project tag is not fitting. Raila is a self-made politician,” the Narc Kenya party leader said.
Karua, who is also one of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals and by extension Azimio adherent, wondered why Ruto and his brigade are labeling Raila a project yet they are students of Raila Odinga political classes.
“Raila Odinga is a campaign machine, those calling him a project – he has taught them politics, even the strategies they (William Ruto and others) are using they have copied from Raila,” Martha Karua stated.
At the same time, the Kirinyaga gubernatorial candidate was upbeat that OKA will provide strong competition for the August General Election.
“The 2022 elections is not a two-horse race, there are new entrants in the race,” Karua said.
