DP RUTO maintains the lead in the latest opinion poll as RAILA ODINGA continues to struggle with numbers.

Thursday, February 17, 2022 – An opinion poll conducted by Radio Africa has shown that Deputy President William Ruto is still the man to beat in the forthcoming presidential election slated for 9th August.

The 2022 presidential race has attracted over 8 candidates.

However, DP Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are the front runners for the race to State House in August.

According to the survey, 47.1 percent of respondents say they would vote for Ruto if the presidential election were held today, compared to 35.1 percent for Raila Odinga.

According to the poll, other presidential contenders appear to be a long way off.

Kalonzo Musyoka has 1.5 percent support; Musalia Mudavadi 1.1 percent support; and ‘Others’ 1.9 percent.

Another 7.8 percent were undecided, while 2.8 percent said they would not vote and 2.4 percent refused to answer.

The survey of 3,152 respondents was conducted by computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) between February 1 and 5 across all 47 counties.

It carries a 1.75 percent margin of error.
