Friday, October 2, 2026 - Gypsy Rose Blanchard is speaking publicly following the sudden death of Ken Urker, the father of her daughter, who died at 34 in Louisiana on October 1, his birthday.
Authorities said Urker was found dead at a home in Raceland after deputies responded to a call, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has said the death investigation remains ongoing.
Blanchard told PEOPLE that she believes Urker died following an apparent overdose, but stressed that she does not know what substance was involved or whether the overdose was intentional.
She also said Urker had recently been struggling and described the loss as devastating, while remembering him as a devoted father to their daughter, Aurora.
The sudden death has drawn intense attention because of Urker and Blanchard’s highly public relationship and their young daughter.
