Monday, October 26, 2026 - At least six Palestinians have been killed and 10 others injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, including strikes that hit Gaza City, Khan Younis and areas in central Gaza. The attacks took place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, according to medical sources cited by Anadolu Agency.
Three people were reportedly killed in a strike on the Islamic University campus in Gaza City, while other fatalities were reported in southern and central Gaza. Five university students were among those injured, prompting the university to suspend academic and administrative activities at its Gaza City premises.
The latest casualties come amid continuing violence despite a ceasefire that took effect in October 2025. Medical sources reported injuries from strikes and gunfire in several locations, while witnesses described artillery fire in areas around Khan Younis and along Gaza’s coastline.
According to figures released by Gaza’s Health Ministry and reported by Anadolu Agency, Israeli attacks since the ceasefire began had killed 1,551 Palestinians and injured 5,573 as of October 25, 2026. The latest incidents have renewed concerns about civilian protection and the effectiveness of efforts to maintain the truce.
The immediate priority is to protect civilians, ensure that wounded people can access medical treatment and prevent further escalation. Humanitarian organisations continue to face the challenge of supporting families affected by prolonged conflict, displacement and damage to essential infrastructure.
International mediators now face renewed pressure to address reported ceasefire violations and strengthen measures that protect civilians on all sides.
For Gaza’s residents, the urgent concern remains whether the ceasefire can deliver meaningful safety and allow humanitarian assistance to reach those who need it most.
