Tuesday, September 29, 2026 - A manhunt is underway in St. Vincent and the Grenadines after a shooting in Green Hill, near the capital, Kingstown, left four people dead and four others wounded.
Police said officers responding to reports of gunfire found four victims with apparent gunshot injuries. The four injured people were taken to Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where two were later treated and discharged while two remained hospitalized.
The identities of those killed have not been released as investigators work to establish what happened and identify those responsible. Police said there have been no immediate arrests and that the motive remains unclear.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses and anyone with relevant photographs, video footage or other information to come forward while warning the public against spreading speculation as the investigation continues.
The shooting has drawn renewed attention to gun violence in the Caribbean nation, which relies heavily on tourism and promotes its islands as a major travel destination.
