KIM KARDASHIAN awarded symbolic 1 euro in damages following terrifying ordeal of being robbed at gunpoint

Wednesday, September 16, 2026 - Kim Kardashian has been awarded a symbolic €1 in damages by a Paris court nearly a decade after she was held at gunpoint during a terrifying hotel robbery.

The reality star had specifically requested the nominal amount, making the ruling less about financial compensation and more about accountability and recognition of what she experienced. The decision comes after eight people were found guilty in 2025 of roles in the high-profile robbery.

Kardashian was targeted at the Hôtel de Pourtalès during Paris Fashion Week in 2016, when masked men posing as police officers entered her suite, restrained her and stole more than $6 million worth of jewellery.

Among the stolen items was a diamond engagement ring valued at about $4 million, while most of the jewellery has never been recovered. Kardashian later told the court that she believed she was going to die during the ordeal.

The latest ruling closes another major chapter in a case that has continued to affect Kardashian and others involved. Her stylist, Simone Harouche, also received a symbolic €1, while a former hotel receptionist was awarded €109,516 for the trauma he suffered and the hotel received €50,000.

Kardashian and Harouche said the decision was about accountability rather than money, expressing gratitude for the justice process and their hope to continue healing and moving forward.
