Wednesday, September 16, 2026 - British comedian John Bishop has cancelled his upcoming North American tour after a motorbike accident left him with a broken ankle.
The 59-year-old was due to perform six shows across the United States and Canada between October 15 and 25, with stops planned in New York, Boston, Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. The sudden cancellation came just weeks before the tour was scheduled to begin.
Bishop revealed that his injury has left him wearing a medical boot, which prevents him from making the long-distance flights required for the tour. In announcing the cancellation, he expressed his disappointment at having to pull out, particularly after fans had been looking forward to seeing him perform across North America.
He also withdrew from a planned charity bike ride alongside Chris Hoy and Tim Peake as he focuses on recovering.
Fans affected by the cancelled shows will now be watching for further information about possible replacement dates. Bishop has indicated that he hopes to return to North America and reschedule the performances in the future.
For now, the comedian is putting recovery first after an accident that has forced a major change to his busy touring schedule.
