Thursday, September 17, 2026 - Joe Marler and Joe Wilkinson are taking their friendship beyond The Celebrity Traitors with a new BBC Two series called The Friend Ship.
The six-part factual programme will follow the pair as they travel by canal boat around Britain, ending at the Falkirk Wheel.
The series will explore connection, community, and male friendship while placing the duo in the confined setting of a canal boat.
Wilkinson has described the experience as “absolute heaven,” while Marler joked about the cramped conditions and suggested their friendship will be tested along the way.
Filming is already underway, although the BBC has not announced a transmission date. The project gives viewers a chance to see the popular pair in a new setting and could turn their on-screen chemistry into one of the broadcaster’s most engaging factual formats.
