Wednesday, August 25, 2026 - Samantha Busch has spoken publicly at length about the devastating loss of her husband, NASCAR star Kyle Busch, describing his death as “the greatest heartbreak of my life.” She made the emotional remarks on August 24 while accepting the Seeds of Hope Award at the Carlos Ródon Foundation’s Willow Gala.
Samantha, who had previously shared her grief privately and through social media, used the moment to acknowledge the pain of losing Kyle while continuing the work they built together.
Kyle died on May 21 at age 41 after severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, leaving Samantha to raise their two children, Brexton and Lennox, while carrying on their shared mission through the Bundle of Joy Fund.
The foundation, which supports families struggling with fertility costs, has helped more than 113 babies be born through IVF assistance. Samantha said moving forward without Kyle remains extremely difficult, but the impact of their work gives her a reason to keep going.
Her latest appearance is putting Kyle’s legacy back in the spotlight while showing a different side of the family’s life after the tragedy. Samantha has been increasingly open about the reality of grief, previously saying that heartbreak and joy now exist side by side as she creates new memories with her children.
Her decision to continue their charitable work could become one of the strongest parts of Kyle’s lasting legacy, turning an unimaginable loss into a renewed push to help families build the futures they desperately want.
