Saturday, August 8, 2026 - A Range Rover once owned by George Michael is heading to auction, giving fans and collectors a chance to buy a piece of the late singer’s personal life.
The 2002 Range Rover Vogue is currently being offered by Trade Classics, with bidding scheduled to close on August 20. Finished in Oslo Blue metallic with a charcoal leather interior, the luxury SUV has covered just under 80,000 miles and remains largely original.
The vehicle comes with unusually strong evidence of its connection to the Wham! star. It was originally purchased by Michael before passing to his father and later returning to the singer.
The history file includes documentation showing Michael’s birth name, Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, while photographs reportedly show him using the vehicle. Under the bonnet is a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre V8 paired with a five-speed automatic gearbox, producing 292bhp when new.
For collectors, the appeal goes beyond the Range Rover itself. Original paperwork, photographs and a direct connection to one of Britain’s most recognisable pop stars could make the vehicle particularly desirable as bidding progresses.
With the auction deadline approaching, attention is now turning to how much buyers will be prepared to pay for a relatively understated SUV carrying such significant celebrity provenance.
