Iran says renewed conflict possible after TRUMP rejects latest peace proposal

Friday, May 15, 2026- Tensions in the Middle East are rising again after Iranian officials warned that renewed conflict with the United States is now “possible” following the rejection of Tehran’s latest peace proposal by Donald Trump.

The failed negotiations have intensified fears of military escalation at a time when global markets are already under pressure from energy instability and security concerns in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian military leaders accuse Washington of refusing meaningful compromise, while the White House maintains that Iran’s proposals do not meet U.S. security demands.

The growing uncertainty is already affecting oil prices and international trade. Investors are closely monitoring the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important shipping routes for oil and gas exports.

Analysts warn that any disruption in the region could push fuel prices even higher, damage fragile economies, and increase pressure on governments struggling with inflation. Recent reports show crude oil prices climbing sharply as fears of renewed military confrontation spread across global financial markets.

Diplomatic efforts continue behind the scenes, but trust between both sides appears dangerously weak. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi recently stated that Tehran has “no trust” in the United States while still leaving the door open for negotiations if Washington shows seriousness.

Global powers including China and regional mediators are now under pressure to prevent the situation from spiraling into a larger regional crisis. With military warnings increasing and economic stakes growing rapidly, the world is watching closely as one failed negotiation could trigger consequences far beyond the Middle East.
