TRUMP says US will ‘leave’ Iran in 2-3 weeks

Tuesday, March 31, 2026-President Donald Trump has announced that American forces could withdraw from Iran within the next two to three weeks, signaling a potential turning point in the ongoing conflict.

Speaking from the White House, Trump said the mission is nearing completion and emphasized that the United States has already achieved its key objective of weakening Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its ability to develop nuclear weapons.

The timeline comes as pressure mounts over rising global oil prices and economic instability linked to the war. Trump suggested that ending U.S. involvement would quickly ease fuel costs, arguing that markets would stabilize once troops pull out.

He also indicated that a formal agreement with Iran is not necessary for the withdrawal, describing the exit as a unilateral decision driven by strategic goals already being met.

Despite the optimistic timeline, military operations are still ongoing, and tensions remain high across the region. Analysts warn that a rapid withdrawal could reshape the balance of power in the Middle East and leave key security questions unresolved.

With global markets closely watching and allies weighing their next moves, the coming weeks are shaping up to be decisive in determining how—and how quickly—the conflict comes to an end.
