TOM BRADY’s old teammates called him out for not siding with Patriots in Super Bowl

Thursday, February  5, 2026-Tom Brady is facing unexpected heat from some of his former New England Patriots teammates after publicly choosing not to pick a side in this year’s Super Bowl LX, where the Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks. On a recent episode of his “Let’s Go!” podcast, the seven‑time Super Bowl champion said he didn’t “have a dog in the fight” and would simply root for good football and the best team to win, rather than backing his old franchise.

That neutral stance didn’t sit well with Patriots legends. Vince Wilfork, who played alongside Brady for years, openly blasted him on Boston sports radio, calling Brady’s approach “bull‑crap” and urging him to show support for the Patriots rather than “straddle the fence.” Former cornerback Asante Samuel took Brady’s comments to social media, expressing disappointment that the quarterback wasn’t backing former teammate and current Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel as he leads New England back to its first Super Bowl since Brady’s departure.

Even longtime Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski weighed in, suggesting Brady’s competitive nature might be behind his hesitancy and joking that he perhaps wishes he were the one playing in the big game. Despite the criticism, Brady has stood by his neutral comments — emphasizing respect for both teams and the excitement of watching the championship unfold — but the pushback from ex‑teammates has sparked a fresh wave of debate about loyalty, legacy, and where the GOAT’s allegiances truly lie.
