Did TRUMP really give NICKI MINAJ a $1 million ‘Gold Card’ visa?

Friday, January 30, 2026-Rapper Nicki Minaj recently posted a photo on social media holding what she called a Trump “Gold Card”, implying she received an immigration document linked to a fast‑track path toward U.S. citizenship.

She shared the image after appearing with President Donald Trump at a government event and captioned it in a way that suggested the card came to her “free of charge,” while also saying she was “finalizing citizenship paperwork” thanks to Trump’s support.

However, the reality behind that card is more nuanced. The Trump administration’s Gold Card program is an immigration initiative aimed at wealthy foreigners that formally requires a $1 million contribution to the U.S. Treasury plus a non‑refundable processing fee as part of an expedited EB‑1 or EB‑2 visa pathway.

It is not literally a prepaid “$1 million visa” handed out on a whim. Additionally, a White House source has clarified that the card Minaj received was more of a memento than an official visa document, noting she has been a legal permanent resident for years and would still need to follow normal citizenship application procedures.

In short: Minaj did showcase a Trump Gold Card and claimed it was given to her without payment, but that is not the same as the government formally issuing a $1 million “visa” card in the ordinary sense. The card reflects a controversial high‑cost immigration pathway tied to Trump’s policy, and her personal statements about citizenship progress are her interpretation of events, not an official guarantee that she received full citizenship through a free visa.
