BROOKLYN BECKHAM’s wedding planner says rift with parents is surprising

Thursday, January 29, 2026 - Brooklyn Beckham’s former wedding planner has said he was surprised by the public fallout between the photographer and his famous parents, insisting there was no visible tension during the planning of Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.

Celebrity wedding planner Preston Bailey, who worked closely with the couple for nearly a year, said his experience with Brooklyn did not reflect the claims now being made amid the family rift.

“It surprises me that he is taking this stand against his parents,” Bailey said, describing Brooklyn as a “nice, gentle guy” who was friendly, polite and actively involved in the wedding process. According to Bailey, Brooklyn was hands-on with the planning and approvals, and there were no signs of family conflict at the time.

Bailey also dismissed suggestions that Nicola Peltz was controlling during the planning. He said decisions were presented to her, but Brooklyn’s approval was always important and she would not move forward without it. He added that he witnessed affection between the couple and did not observe any bossy behaviour.

The wedding planner, who has organized high-profile ceremonies for figures including Donald and Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, said all his interactions with the couple were professional and positive. He worked with them mainly via Zoom and at the Peltz family home in Palm Beach, and had no direct dealings with David or Victoria Beckham.

Bailey stepped away from the wedding about 11 months into planning due to scheduling conflicts but also organized the couple’s engagement party. He has previously described the Peltz family as “lovely people.”

Brooklyn recently stated that he does not wish to reconcile with his parents, accusing them of several actions surrounding his wedding, including disagreements over the first dance, wedding attire and legal matters.

Sources close to the Beckham family have said David and Victoria are deeply concerned about their son and fear losing him, while others claim reconciliation is unlikely unless circumstances change. The Beckhams have not publicly commented on the situation.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Bailey maintains that during the wedding planning period, the atmosphere was calm and collaborative, saying plainly: “There was never any tension.”
