United Arab Emirates says it will withdraw its remaining forces in Yemen

Wednesday, December 31, 2025 -The United Arab Emirates announced that it will withdraw its remaining military forces from Yemen, signaling a major shift in the coalition’s involvement in the long-running conflict. 

Officials cited a strategic pivot toward diplomatic and humanitarian efforts as the primary reason, highlighting the country’s focus on regional stability and reconstruction. The move is expected to alter the balance of power on the ground and may prompt shifts in Yemen’s ongoing negotiations.
