Michigan moves away from vaccine guidance of RFK Jr.'s federal panel

Friday, December 19, 2025 -Michigan health authorities are distancing themselves from the vaccine recommendations issued by a federal panel led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The state’s Department of Health and Human Services confirmed that it will continue to follow guidance from established medical and public health organizations, rather than the controversial advice from the panel. Officials stressed that public health decisions will remain grounded in widely accepted scientific research.
