Tuesday, December 2, 2025 - Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has won the Serie A Player of the Year award.
The Scotland international and Napoli star won the award on
Monday evening's Gran Gala del Calcio awards, having won the Scudetto in 2023
and 2025.
"Coming to Napoli was an easy choice, I came to the
right place," he said upon receiving the honour, according to The
Sun. McTominay proved instrumental in Napoli's Serie A championship triumph
last term, netting 13 goals whilst providing six assists across all
competitions under Antonio Conte's guidance.
His outstanding displays at the Diego Armando Maradona
Stadium earned him the Serie A MVP gong for the 2024-25 season.
The Scotsman has joined a list of previous winners
including; Cristiano Ronaldo, Andrea Pirlo, Kaka and Zinedine Zidane
The 28-year-old, who registered 255 appearances for United
whilst finding the net 29 times, also earned selection in a prestigious Serie A
team of the season.

Reijnders received recognition in the squad alongside Inter Milan duo
Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco.
